While seasonal influenza (flu) viruses can be detected year-round. The exact timing and duration of flu seasons can vary, but influenza activity often begins to increase in October. Most of the time flu activity peaks between December and March, although activity can last as late as May.
The Immunization Program provides the flu vaccine at the clinics and by conducting outreach activities in the community. The outreach activities include the schools, government agencies, hotel staff, street markets, church based functions, etc.
Please see events calendar for a flu shot outreach schedule as they become available.
